Club development program
|
Colorado International Soccer Academy development philosophy is to work with players over an Eight-to-Nine-year time frame. In the background of all our training is instilling that true love of soccer.
The U10-U12 age groups are classified within our training program as the Technical/Coordination Age Groups. Our coaches focus on teaching the proper techniques in the fundamental skills of trapping, passing, movement off the ball, and defending, body control, balance, coordination and running technique applied to the game of soccer. In addition, coaches touch on developing an awareness of space and the overall shape of the team on the field. Learning these fundamentals, the right way at this stage, creates a stronger player in the older age groups. Training practices in these age groups are 2-3 times per week. The U13-U15 age groups are classified within our training program as the Technical/Tactical Training Age Groups. Building on and continuing the player’s technical development from the younger age groups, coaches for these age groups also teach broader game strategies and execution. Individual player development as well as team development are the building blocks to championship teams. Training practices in these age groups are 2-3 times per week. The U16-U19 age groups are classified within our training program as the Advanced/Elite Training Age Groups. As the children reach these ages, their game must reach the next level of play to reach the higher-level soccer platforms in the US. The coaches focus primarily on the player’s development and understanding of “systems of play”. As our player’s move on to greater ventures in soccer, it is imperative to equip them with the tools they need to succeed in the game and in life. In the end, as the children grow older and face the real world, translating lessons learned on the field into useful life experience for handling both life’s successes and failures is the most valuable training of all. |
Player Development philosophy
|
Our club goal at the Colorado International Soccer Academy (CISA) is to implement a player development program for all youths participating in our programs. It is important that the desire to win at young ages does not overcome our commitment to teaching the fundamental skills a player needs as a foundation for long term success. Our players will participate in an age and skill appropriate competitive environment.
CISA will implement our development philosophy by following: 1) Develop players to their full potential both on and off the field. Technically, Tactically, Physically, Psychologically, Academically 2) Provide quality coaching and training staff. 3) Educate coaches, trainers, parents, and players on the importance of development first and winning second. 4) Seek higher competition for further development. Winning and, therefore, promotions will be a by-product of the development being accomplished at CISA. |
Coaching philosophy
|
At Colorado International Soccer Academy (CISA), we combine traditional and innovative methods to establish a diverse culture that promotes true player development, creativity, and passion for the game of soccer.
Its coaching staff will serve as mentors, facilitators, and instructors who enable the game to reveal itself to our players, allowing them to achieve soccer excellence and succeed at the youth select, adult amateur, collegiate, and professional levels. |
